Stoke Gigs 2011

Here at Stoke Gigs HQ – we hope you’ve enjoyed 2010 as much as we have. It’s been a busy year since our conception back in February and we’ve loads of highlights. From our clubnights to our competitions we’ve been incredibly lucky to have been able to share so much with you guys, so a massive thank you and our very best wishes for the New Year.

So, after a brilliant year of music in the city, and with no further ado, it’s time to look forward to the musical highlights of 2011.

To mark the release of their acoustic version of Butterfly House, Liverpudlian musical legends, The Coral will be playing an intimate acoustic show at The Underground in Hanley on Friday 14th January. Tickets are available for £15.00.

Indie newcomers The Vaccines are playing their rescheduled date at The Sugarmill on 1st February. The band have already attracted much interest with their debut London show selling out and over 200 fans being turned away. While original tickets still remain valid, further tickets are available for £8.00

February 13th sees The Feeling playing their already sold out gig at The Sugarmill. Their album ‘Twelve Stops & Home sold a million records in the UK, and this tour is to thank the fans as part of their ‘Search Every Corner Tour.’

After two massively successful albums and numerous sell out tours, Kate Nash is doing a run of intimate dates, and will be stopping off at The Sugarmill on 20th March. Tickets are just £13.75.

On the 25th March, Neville Staples from The Specials will be playing The Underground. If you want to relive your ska days, tickets are £13.25.

In another acoustic spectacular, The Sugarmill have announced punk band Bowling For Soup, who will be appearing on Monday 11th April. Fans are also being treated to the VIP’ experience with an exclusive meet and greet with Jaret and Erik before the doors open, a chance to hear the new album ‘Fishing For Woos’, have their picture taken with the guys and get into the venue prior to opening to secure the best seats. VIP tickets can be purchased through the band’s official website for £33 each. Regular tickets are £14.50.

If you’re after a bit of 80’s nostalgia, Erasure are playing Cannock Chase Forest on Friday 24th June. Tickets are £38.00.

‘Don’t You Forget About Me’ or rather, don’t you forget the date, Saturday 25th June. If you’re a Simple Minds fan, Cannock Chase Forest is hosting another retro fulled gig, for £38.50.
