They say ‘good things come to those who wait’ and for once we’d have to agree. Ladies and Gentlemen we would like to introduce you to Wolverhampton band, The Lines, who are set to headline The Sugarmill on May 5th.

After a great start to the year which has included upstaging Funeral Party as part of HMV’s ‘Next Big Things’, supporting Ocean Colour Scene on their sold out ‘Moseley Shoals’ tour, and a run of shows at Canadian Music Week, New York and SXSW which culminated in the band wowing a capacity 1,200 audience at ‘The Big One’, The Lines have wasted no time with getting down to business in 2011.

With a mesmerising live show and the tunes to match, The Lines convert fans wherever they play, including none other than Led Zeppelin’s Robert Plant, who has said that “there aren’t many good bands coming out of Wolverhampton, just one great band called The Lines”.

The Lines have recently announced their own headline tour across the UK during May and fans have been warned to make sure they get their ticket early as many recent shows have sold out, including at their Album Launch show at the 1,100 capacity Wulfrun Hall in their hometown of Wolverhampton.

And if you’re still not persuaded may we hand over to Led Zeppelin’s Robert Plant who recently said ‘There aren’t really many good bands coming out of Wolverhampton, just one great band called the Lines.”

Tickets are available now from Music Mania for £5.55.
