The Sugarmill wins NME’s best small venue

The Sugarmill have recently topped a poll from leading music magazine the NME as best small music venue in the Midlands.

The Stoke-on-Trent venue beat a number of other clubs such as The Rescue Rooms in Nottingham and Custard Factory in Birmingham as part of a public vote which aims to highlight the UK’s best small venue.

Promoter Dan Nixon said “We are extremely proud to have topped the poll as the best small venue in the midlands. It is wonderful to be recognized by a respected music magazine such as the NME and the fact that it was the public who voted us into this position really means so much. To the people who voted: we salute you!”
