Bill Bailey Dandelion Mind comes to Victoria Hall

Comic and musician Bill Bailey has today announced he will tour his smash hit live show Dandelion Mind across the UK this coming winter.  Following a sell out tour of the show in Australia and New Zealand, Bill took up a West End residency with the show last autumn.  Described by The Times as “a glorious two hours of comedy,” the show was such a success its run was doubled, taking the show into January of this year.  Kicking off in Birmingham on Tue 1 November, Bill will now bring the show to Stoke’s Victoria Hall on Friday 25th November 2011.

Joe Swash named as Regent’s New Panto Star

The Regent Theatre in Stoke-on-Trent today announced a new pantomime star, a new producer team and a special one-off introductory ticket offer for this year’s pantomime, Aladdin.

TV star Joe Swash has been named as the new leading man for Aladdin, which opens at The Regent Theatre on 15 December 2011. 29 year old Joe shot to fame in 2003 playing the part of Mickey Miller in Eastenders and in 2008, he was crowned King of the Jungle when he won ITV’s I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!

Laugh Out Loud Comedy June Preview

The monthly event which takes place at The Britannia Suite in Hanley’s Regent Theatre, features Steve Shanyaski, who you may recognise from his performance on Jason Manford’s, Comedy Rocks.

Milton Jones to headline Victoria Hall

Milton Jones, the comedian famous for his wacky shirts and numerous odd appearences on Mock The Week is due to headline the Victoria Hall as part of his Lion Whisperer tour on Thursday 26th May.

Milton, often fondly referred to, mainly by himself, as ‘the weird bloke with the shirts from Mock the Week‘, is once again touring the nation with some of the wittiest one-liners the UK will ever hear. His last tour, Milton’s Paradise Jones’, played to sell-out audiences nationwide and so, in 2011, the bigger venues are beckoning.

Paul Chowdhry plays Victoria Hall


Award winning stand up comedian, Paul Chowdhry, is about to embark on his debut national UK tour, due to popular demand. Following sell out runs in London’s West End and at the O2’s IndigO2, it’s time for this iconic Internationally critically acclaimed comedian to embark on an official national UK tour with his new show Not PC.

Paul brings the stand up show to the Victoria Hall, Stoke-on-Trent on Saturday 4th June 2011.

Laugh Out Loud Comedy, Regent Theatre – 23/10/2010

Comedy is currently enjoying something of a resurgence in the area, and this is due in no small part down to one man, Damion Larkin. An active gigging comedian, Damion set out to, in his own words, bring comedy to Stoke. He successfully hosted the first Laugh Out Loud Club night in The Britannia Suite back in May. Since then he has managed to host a string of evenings, which have all sold out, and the key to his success? Quietly brilliant talent.
