Cloud 9 Opens Voting

Your local music festivalCloud 9, have opened their doors to one lucky local band. With just one remaining slot open, organisers are giving the public the last word on who gets to play, as voting opens on the Road To Cloud 9, battle of the bands competition.

Twenty Ten Live

To celebrate 100 years of Stoke On Trent, local radio station, Signal One, have organised a massive free pop event.

Twenty Ten Live will feature live performances from former X Factor runner up Diana Vickers along with The Hoosiers, Craig David, and many more to be announced.

Organisers have confirmed that there will be 10,000 tickets up for grabs, which fans will have to register for on the official Twenty Ten website, from 8am on Monday 24th May.

The free event will take place on Saturday 19th June 2010 at Hanley Park from 12 noon.

The city council is appealing for businesses who would like to sponsor the event to come forward, and the organisers are looking for potential partners.

Here at Stoke Gigs HQ we were talking about some of the fantastic entertainment names we’ve had here in Stoke on Trent in recent years, from Kasabian to Elton John, from Derren Brown to The Mighty Boosh, there’s literally been something for everyone.

Stokes Top Talent Is Back

The Regent Theatre, have announced that the region’s biggest talent search, STOKE’S TOP TALENT is back for 2010!

The theatre is looking for non professional singers, dancers, musicians, comedians, acrobats, groups or individuals of any age and any ability to take part in this year’s competition.
