Above The Underground make their long awaited return to Crewe’s music scene with a headline slot at The Box this evening from 7:30pm. The band have defended pop punk alongside the likes of scene bigwigs, Set Your Goals, A Loss For Words and Elliot Minor. New Romantics also return in support with debuts for both White Eskimo and Aeris. Tickets are £5.

Stoke Gigs joins Movember Campaign

In case you didn’t already know, this month is dedicated to facial hair, all in the name of changing the face of men’s health and raising money for some very important charities!

The Mo, slang for moustache, and November come together each year for Movember, which challenges men to change their appearance and the face of men’s health by growing a moustache.

Stoke Gigs has decided to join the cause and aim to raise as much money as possible. If you want to join the Stoke Gigs Mo-Team and help us raise money, or just donate, click here or the Movember logo.

David Essex to star in All The Fun Of The Fair

Following a record breaking West End season at the Garrick Theatre where it was nominated for Best New West End Musical 2010 by What’s On Stage, TV’s newest Eastender star, David Essex, stars in his own musical set in a world of an authentic East End funfair to The Regent Theatre.

Since its conception in early 2010, Stoke Gigs has come a long way. We can proudly boast that we are now one of the biggest local music sites in Stoke! We’ve taken part in the Guardian Student Media Awards 2 years running, been involved in local music competitions as well as the UKs biggest music festival, Oxjam, and even hosted our own club nights.

We have forged strong links with local venues and artists, but it’s simply not enough! We’re now looking to expand even further, but we need your help!

Acclaimed English songwriter and the voice of articulate, noughties youth – Sam Duckworth arrives with Get Cape Wear Cape Fly for a special one-off show at The Box in Crewe on Saturday September 24th.

The Southend-born troubadour, who named his solo project after a solution from an old Batman adventure game, saw his debut album The Chronicles of a Bohemian Teenager make the top albums of 2006 lists of both Q and NME.

Manchester based Skinless Finger make their long-awaited return to The Box in Crewe tonight. Ash Powell, Nick Rogers, Phill Smallwood and Gaz Evans have seized the headline slot to fill the sizable shoes of old friends Bleached Wail. Returning to their Cheshire roots, the four piece have been busy building up a solid reputation in Manchester. The Retrospective make their long awaited return along with Save The Mastersound and The Flares. Doors open at 8pm and entry is £5.00 on the door.

Limited Number of V Festival Tickets still available

Did you miss out on purchasing tickets for this years V Festival 2011? Fear not. Hanley independent music store Music Mania have just announced that they have a very limited amount of tickets for Staffordshire Weston Park’s biggest music festival.

According to the store a limited amount of weekend camping and weekend only tickets have become available for purchase, for face value including booking fee.
