Above The Underground make their long awaited return to Crewe’s music scene with a headline slot at The Box this evening from 7:30pm. The band have defended pop punk alongside the likes of scene bigwigs, Set Your Goals, A Loss For Words and Elliot Minor. New Romantics also return in support with debuts for both White Eskimo and Aeris. Tickets are £5.

Stoke Gigs joins Movember Campaign

In case you didn’t already know, this month is dedicated to facial hair, all in the name of changing the face of men’s health and raising money for some very important charities!

The Mo, slang for moustache, and November come together each year for Movember, which challenges men to change their appearance and the face of men’s health by growing a moustache.

Stoke Gigs has decided to join the cause and aim to raise as much money as possible. If you want to join the Stoke Gigs Mo-Team and help us raise money, or just donate, click here or the Movember logo.

Reginald D Hunter headlines Victoria Hall 26/10/2011


In just over a decade since he began performing, Reginald D Hunter has become one of the UK Comedy industry’s best-known and most distinctive performers.  His work is often brutally honest, frequently controversial but always meticulously measured and thought out.

His latest tour Sometimes Even The Devil Tells The Truth, supported by special guest, Steve Hughes, comes to The Victoria Hall, Stoke on Wednesday 26th October.

Dave Spikey brings Words Don’t Come Easy to Stoke

Award-winning comedian Dave Spikey continues his critically acclaimed ‘Words Don’t Come Easy’ stand-up tour this Autumn with 22 new dates, which stops off at the Victoria Hall in Stoke on Friday 18th November. Of course anyone who has seen one of Dave’s live shows, or read his best-selling autobiography Under The Microscope, will know that words come very easily to the hugely popular comedian.

Stoke Gigs Needs You!

Since its conception in early 2010, Stoke Gigs has come a long way. We can proudly boast that we are now one of the biggest local music sites in Stoke! We’ve taken part in the Guardian Student Media Awards 2 years running, been involved in local music competitions as well as the UKs biggest music festival, Oxjam, and even hosted our own club nights.

We have forged strong links with local venues and artists, but it’s simply not enough! We’re now looking to expand even further, but we need your help!

This evening Dead Radio Society play The Rigger in Newcastle to promote the release of their new Plan Z ep. The gig is free entry with live music all night, finished off by the Plan Z stage show. Support comes from John Macleod, music starts at 7:30pm.
